Destination wedding site MarryAbroad.co.uk analysed its website statistics, to find out which world-wide destinations are leading the way for British couples, who are tying the knot overseas this year.

Chosen by George Clooney and his glamourous wife Amal Alamuddin to wed last year, Italy topped the list, with Greece in second place and the British ‘Rock’ of Gibraltar, coming in third.

Typically, women aged between the ages of 25-34, who live in London and like travel and movies, are interested in marrying overseas.

And men most interested in getting hitched in another country, are also between the ages of 25-34, living in London and like news and sports.
