Best In Mobility

Following on from the success of the S-Ergo Series in 2013, Karma Mobility has once again swept the board at the 2014 Taiwan Excellence Awards with its revolutionary VIP Series winning the prestigious Gold Award for Precision Instruments & Medical Equipment.

“This award also further cements Karma's position as a leading global manufacturer and supplier of lightweight manual wheelchairs and powerchairs” commented Mark Duffield, General Manager, KarmaMobility.

The VIP-515 is a revolutionary lightweight folding tilt in space wheelchair, with a tilt range from 0 to 35 degrees. The aluminum frame has been designed to move the centre of gravity forwards as the wheelchair is tilted to maintain stability and key comfort and safety features include: Height adjustable, flip-back armrest, swing in/out footrest hangers, ergonomic headrest, lumbar support and anti-tip leavers.  Both the self propelled and transit models are easily foldable and compact and have been crash tested to ISO 7176-19.
There are three categories in the "Taiwan Excellence Awards": The Taiwan Excellence Gold Award ("Gold Award"), the Taiwan Excellence Silver Award ("Silver Award") and Taiwan Excellence Award." The Gold and Silver awards are selected from among "Taiwan Excellence Award" winners and are based on five key indicators: R&D, Design, Quality, Marketing, and Made in Taiwan. The five indicators are of equal importance, and each is judged on its "Innovation Value," the most important standard of all. Products that receive the "Taiwan Excellence Award" are authorized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) to use the "Taiwan Excellence" mark in their marketing activity.
