Love #Broadchurch? See #Broadchurch

Searches to Somerset and Dorset up 200% as Brits look to visit the setting of ITV crime thriller Broadchurch.

The highly anticipated return of Broadchurch has prompted a large increase in searches to the west country. According to Hotels.com
locations in Somerset and Dorset, which are used to film the fictional town, have seen hotel searches increase as high as 200% in Portishead and 161% in Bridport in the few days following the first episode's premiere.

It seems Brits aren't dissuaded by the dark content of the TV phenomenon as hotels in the area could see a surge of tourists throughout 2015. Hotel searches to West Bay in Dorset have also seen an increase of 50%.

With only one episode of series two airing so far, searches could increase further as David Tennant and Olivia Colman unfold their latest mystery. Following the first series' dramatic finale in 2013, the coastal area of Bridport saw increases of 67%.
