In new rules
relating to the entry of foreign passport-holders to Turkey; as from 1 January 2015 passports should
have at least 60 days validity from the date of expiry of a traveller's visa, visa exemption period or residency
permit to be able to enter the country.
The new rules form
part of Turkey’s responsibilities within the framework of its European Union
negotiation accession process, including as signatory to relevant international
agreements within this framework.
Travellers without
the required period of validity on passports will regrettably not be allowed
entry into Turkey due to this new legal regulation as of 1 January 2015.
