Travel site finds Bangkok most-searched airport for travellers with New York a close second 

Traveel search site momondo.co.uk analysed its UK flight searches made over the last three months, for travel during this Christmas and New Year period, looking at planned departures from all UK airports within the period of 22nd of December and 5th of January, 2014.

Thailand’s capital Bangkok took first place, with Brits’ second most-popular choice for this October half-term period - New York, world-famous for its distinctive skyline.

momondo.co.uk surveyed 1,000 Brits to find that whilst 59% spend the amount they planned to spend on holidays, 24% spend more than they planned and 7% even didn’t keep a track on spending.
