(Holiday) Time For Romance?

A third of Brits have had a holiday romance!


A recent momondo.co.uk survey of 1,000 Brits proved we are a romantic nation abroad, with 29% admitting they’d had a holiday romance or romantic experience with a stranger, while overseas.

The travel site found 62% of Brits questioned admitted they felt happier and more positive when on holiday and 20% feel more social.

Romance Expert Tiffany Wright states: “It’s no wonder many people find romance on holiday – it’s when we are projecting the very best image of ourselves.”

COMPARING OTHER NATIONS…

Interestingly, the Turkish population appeared ‘most romantic’ when momondo surveyed 14 other nations, with 37% of those asked admitting they had had a holiday romance or romantic experience with a stranger while on holiday.

Italians came in second, at 34%, and Norwegian’s third, at 33% admitting to at least one holiday romance in their lives.

The Turkish survey recipients surveyed also had the highest overall percentage experiencing an increased desire for sex on holiday, at 20%. Next in line were the Danish, at 17%, followed by the Spanish at 16%, who wanted sex more on holiday.
